[private to Self] This ball is pathetic. I don't even really want to go and probably wouldn't have had Garrett not asked me. It's just another excuse to dress up and socialise with people whom I hate, and watch others apparently having fun. I would fake illness, but I already agreed to be Garrett's date. I might be a bitch, but I won't back out and disappoint somebody else.
I wonder who he's going with? I don't care. I couldn't bring myself to care less. [end private]
Congratulations, Slytherin. I knew you guys would give it your all. |

I haven't journalled for quite some time. Frankly, I have more important things to do than to sit around pouring my feelings into a book for the rest of the school to judge. Besides, there has been a lack of things to document as of late. Apart from that hilarious kiss fiasco that had everybody up in arms. Nikolai, I was very pleased to receive your name. Plus I did get a kick out of seeing dear Scorpius get his laundry hung out to dry by that idiot Goldstein.
In other news, I do hope everybody has a nice (and safe!) Halloween. Hopefully there won't be any more indoor displays of fireworks set off my complete idiots at the feast this evening. The last thing we all need is somebody to get hurt and for Filch to be in a bad mood. Let's all just hope tonight goes without any unfortunate hitches. Everybody seems to be dressing in costumes, so I thought that I should also make an effort. There will be a highly fashionable-looking deceased Victorian lady sat at the Slytherin table this evening, and that shall be me.
I do want the next few days to go well, seeing as the Prophet are sending representatives to the school tomorrow and I would like to be in top shape. I do think that the world of journalism is very much for me, so I look forward to their visit. |

I enjoy fireworks as much as the next girl, but really? Was it necessary to set them off during dinner? Okay, it was a little funny to see some of the younger students practically leap out of their skins. I really do think it inappropriate to disrupt people when they're eating though. Not to mention that the professors are sure to be on the warpath because of this.
Theatricality is running thin this year, it appears. Especially if the pranksters of Hogwarts can only get their kicks from annoying Filch and causing a mediocre scene during mealtimes. |
